Inverted Bertie

A slimline figure
was Bertie Petite,
who above anything else,
adored to eat.

His chubby friends pondered:
“How does one keep
both an intake of such grub
and a slender physique?”

Bertie reached down his throat,
past the lungs and the sternals
and with a spleen in his grasp
spewed up his internals.

He pointed to his innards,
showing clogged up arteries,
“I’m fat on the inside!”
he shrieked (with some difficulty).

Obituary:
Even inside out,
Bertie was still fit and young,
Though a trip up a curb,
punctured his right lung.

I clutch a plastic bag
containing one pack of fags
to my chest,
in the chill.

I sneeze
but the wind blows it
back in my face.
Can you catch more germs
you’ve already got?

A Study on Piaf

A few abstract scribbles thrown down exploring visual representation of mind-altering drugs in the heads of the user. Each one is different dependent on the drug, each drawn without taking the pen off the paper once. Listened to Edith Piaf on loop doing them, trying to match the style of doodling with the music. Just ended up drawing a load of old French people.
